Kid Serve Supervising Artist and Director
Josef Norris

has done commissioned murals for Starbucks Coffee Company, the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, San Francisco Neighborhood Beautification Fund, the City of Oakland, MUNI and the San Francisco Department of Recreation and Parks.
As a muralist, he is best known for the "Performing Arts Mural" located at the Performing Arts Garage at Gough and Fulton Streets.
He just completed a huge mosaic mural overlooking the Kid Power Park at 67 Hoff Street (near the 16th & Mission Street BART Stations.) Josef Norris has been a recipient of the California Arts Council Artist in Residence Grant for three years from 2000-2003. He has supervised youth murals for the California Consumer Services Agency, California County Fairs, Marin Arts Council and the Ninth District Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Kid Serve is an arts education program guiding students age 6-18 through the design and creation of permanent outdoor murals in their communities. The 8 and 14 week projects integrate social justice, creativity and community service and empowers young people to take a leadership role in beautifying and transforming their neighborhoods.

Kid Serve has done over 45 youth murals projects with Bay Area kids since 1999.
